Amazon prime plays on all my devices including my ipad but will not play on either of my Apple TVs. I get error 0.28 in multiple languages. I have deleted and reinstalled app numerous time along with other trouble shooting tips. Nothing has worked. Help, please.
I have got the same issue. Have already spoken to Amazon / Prime. They got no idea whats going on. However, we have identified this is a network issue on Apple TV end. I.e. if you put you hotspot your apple TV from your phone and try Prime it will work. You can even switch it back to your WIFI on Apple TV and prime will continue to work but you will have to do this process every time- hardly a fix.
If updating the Apple TV doesn't help, and you're not experiencing issues with any other apps on the Apple TV, we suggest contacting Amazon support here: Help & Contact Us - Amazon Customer Service. There may be a setting that needs to be configured in order to access the app on the Apple TV.
Mine started working a fews weeks later. But I did continue to log in to Prime while on hotspot than switch back to my home wifi network. Just keep doing that for a few weeks it's annoying but it worked for me. Just our curiosity which Apple TV box are using? Got a feeling its happening on the older box
Same error with prime, apple tv is connected with LAN overpower sockets. Found a weird IP-Adress, disconnect LAN an the WIFI automatically connected with the correct IP-address. Re-Connected LAN and Prime worked "as designed" ;-)
Hi, if you've ever had trouble playing titles from your Amazon Prime Video account and have seen an error code 4107 for ANY reason (Mines was I changed the password using my phone and try to log in to prime video on my Oculus) just go to settings >>> storage >>> amazon prime video then delete data. There will be a symbol to the right next to the trash icon. Click on it and delete data then re-launch the app. You should now be given the option to sign in. Issue should now be resolved.
@NomadsAnIsland Ya, thanks for that mate. With my Oculus Go I just went to the app settings for prime video and enabled storage permissions. This then allowed me to login and everything is now working fine. Thanks for your advice. Even Oculus support could not help me. I have sent them a note on this. Thanks again and cheers.
I was trying to watch a show on prime video. Today it gave me the error msg saying that I was using a VPN. So I ended up calling amazon, telling them the problem, they have referred me to roku to resolve the issue. Said it was a setting in roku. I was told to call them to get help. No where have i found a number to call. I do use a VPN for my job because i work from home and it is needed. After that i disconnect it. My job is the only thing I use it for and it is only installed on my desktop. I dont know what to do now
I am having same problem. Tried to watch my show on #Prime today and it says I have a VPN. I don't. Didn't even know what that was until today! LOL. Anyway, called Amazon and they are supposed to call me back within 48 hours. I checked both of my Rokus and same error message. What is weird is that I just bought another Roku last night and logged into my Roku account last night, then this morning I am told by #Prime I have this VPN thing, when I don't. HELP. Please someone has to know what this is.
Yes. Rebooted. Unplugged. Reset. Everything. Even logged out of Prime and back in. It is just so weird that I logged into Roku last night to buy a new Roku and then this morning Prime tells me I have this VPN thing. Everything else works fine. Weird, just weird and I don't think that it is a coincidence. But no one has an answer. Ugh...
Yes, I live in Oklahoma and my internet provider hasn't changed. It is Bolt Fiber Optic through Rural Electric Corp. I have had it for 3 years. Same router. Nothing different except logging into Roku last night.
On your computer/phone/tablet go to a website (such ) that identifies the IP (internet protocol) number your internet provider currently has assigned to your internet connection as well as the location associated with that IP and the IP's owner.
I called my internet service provider today. Went over the issue. They said, they really had no idea but would gladly default my router and push updates just to see if that would help. It took a bit, and that worked. I asked them again specifically what they did so I could relate it to anyone else having this issue. They said they defaulted my router. That was the term they used. So I have no idea, and they said the really didn't either but took a chance and it worked. yippee
A month ago I started having intermittently getting this message:
Your device is connected to the Internet using a VPN or proxy service. Please disable it and try again. For more help, go to amazon.com/pv-vpn.
I would clear my browser cache and restart it, problem solved, sometimes I needed to reboot my computer but nothing more. I have never had a problem with Netflix, Apple+, Disney, or Hulu only Amazon and as of this evening nothing I try fixes it except switching to my backup network provider.
The default DNS clients obtain when they receive the DHCP address is the gateway IP address. If there is some reason the DNS resolution is not functioning properly a change to a public DNS server may resolve the behavior. The change too will not cause undue issues. If you see no change you can always change it back.
I have the same problem. T-MOBILE Support did some troubleshooting and then said that it's an Amazon Prime issue. I contacted Amazon Support. I was told they are "working on it" the Support person couldn't give me a time frame for the fix.
@nc1037 Thank you for responding. I have a Sony Bravia Google TV mode: XR-42A90K. You could be right about a bug with Amazon software related to these TVs. YouTube, Apple TV and Netflix work just fine on my TV with the same service.
As another troubleshooting step, I tried streaming Prime Video on my Samsung mobile phone, which is on the same T-mobile 5G Home Internet WiFi and this did not work either. Next, I turned off WiFi on my mobile phone, thereby forcing data transfer over the cell LTE network and this time Prime Video worked/ streamed just fine.
My quick temporary solution, as I also have a Sony smart TV (2016?) with Chromecast as my interface, was to just cast from my phone or laptop. Otherwise i have the same error message with Amazon Prime Video when I try to play it straight from TV. :/
Has anyone encountered this before? Amazon prime works fine via my tv, same on mobiles. When watching live rugby events on prime via my sky stream, anytime an advert comes on I get a hdmi connection error from prime. I have to restart my stream box by unplugging the power to get it working again. Happens every time an advert comes on. No issue with any other shows, just live rugby. Again works fine on my TV, but not via the sky stream.
It's not an issue with prime as far as I'm aware, as my smart tv with the prime app works fine. Must be a sky issue so hoping for an update to fix it...if you have a smart tv watch directly from that instead in the mean time...
I was watching the Arsenal game on prime tonight all of a sudden it's stops and I get HDMI connection .there's a problem with the connection to your TV .but if I watch the Wolves game I can watch it fine .can someone help .oh I'm on sky Stream btw
I have a huge problem with linking my Amazon Prime gaming Account with my Ea account (FIFA 22) always getting an error that something went wrong. Contacted chat multiple times couldn't help, maybe someone here can help me?
If you've linked an EA Account to a different Prime Gaming account before, you won't be able to link a new Prime Gaming account to your existing EA Account again. You can only link your original Prime Gaming account to your EA Account.

You are a king, no support helped with this issue, they just repeated the same steps and nothing worked, I did not ever seen anywhere such a solution.
I tried to find if it is possible to do it from the amazon side but couldn't find it.
Once again YOU AR THE BEST!!
