Segue o resumo da disciplina a ser ministrada pelo prof. Dr. Sandro Carnicelli, no PPGTUR UFPR. A disciplina será em língua inglesa e terá a colaboração da profa. Dra. Sarah Minasi.
‘Tourism research has been developing at fast pace. The increasing number of academic journals available opens new possibilities for researchers to explore new ideas and to engage with interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and cross-disciplinary knowledge. In this fertile intellectual environment new themes emerge. Concepts such as Degrowth, Regenerative Tourism, Socialising Tourism, and Decolonisation are not necessarily new but have been more significantly used in tourism literature and re-conceptualised in an attempt to more fully understand the phenomena with complex lenses. Now, these are not the only new emerging concepts and in this collaborative educational experience students will actively participate in mapping some of the new significant advances in tourism theory. Using a participatory approach this educational experience will aim to use a Critical Tourism Pedagogy framework to enable students to critically explore new concepts relevant to their specific field’.
