Hi Vikas ,
When i click on localhost:10080 to start studio I see the warning " A shared folder named "myfolders" was not found on the virtual machine. See the FAQ for details."
on Virtual Machines => settings => Shared Folder =>Transient folder  I added " myfolders" from c:\sas universityedition and i marked it as auto mount.
so next time when i go to localhost:10080 i didn't get the warning. but when on some other day again i see, myfolders was not found again and again.

And now I can see in Sas studio my Orion library is not exists (it's got deleted).

Can you please explain me why this is happening ?

Thanks,
Deepa.

if your add myfolders as transient folder, it will not persist when sas session ends, you can add it as machine folder.

The libname only effect during the sas session. so if you did not put the libname statement into autofile or the sas program you put into autofile does not run correctly, you need to run setup.sas every-time to assign libname. So please check the program in your autofile.

Transient folder needs to point to c:\sas\universityedition\myfolders, this you have to do it everytime you start virtual machine.

Make sure you have updated SAS Studio, if something weired happens then
1) log off from SAS studio
2) Shut down the virtual machine.
3) restart the it again and launch SAS studio.

Majority of the time it will solve your issues. If issue still persist call SAS help desk.

Vikas - "Transient folder needs to point to c:\sas\universityedition\myfolders, this you have to do it everytime you start virtual machine. "

Really we need to give my folders path everytime when we start virtual machine ?
Because it was working smoothly before...

I am using 3.1 version of SAS . hope this number match with the minimum required version. Do i need to update it to higher version?

Thanks,
Deepa.

Look at Jennifer post for correct version info.

Atleast I have to add it every time, virtual machine does not remember transient folder but does remember machine folder.
