I like the look of it, particularly the plugins.
Needs more detailed assessment, but would we consider dropping Anotar and rolling useful contributions into that system if it looked good?

Well if it is better and/or better resourced than Anotar, of course -
but it would need to be geared towards supporting standard
annotations, the range of things we need to do.
