Abass, Assalamu-Alaikum and
Greetings !
Today, you can read two articles on the IqraSense blog. The
first one is a short article based on a sermon of a renowned scholar
highlighting the importance of having sincerity in one's intentions (Niyyah)
and how Riya (showing off) can annul one's deeds. A must read and one to share
with others.
The second article is a summary of one of the Quranic stories,
the details of which were compiled by ibn Kathir in his books. The article narrates the story
of the people of Saba who led a very prosperous life when they were thankful to
Allah for all His bounties. However, later, as they got too engrossed in the
world's pleasures and delights, they became forgetful and unthankful to Allah,
the result of which led them to lose all their blessings. An interesting story
to read and to ensure that none of us repeat what they did.
