Today I noticed my TV was showing the Samsung logo screensaver - so I assume it updated it's firmware? - and then I noticed that auto game mode is now no longer even a choice I can make - it is greyed out!

Okay, the UK chat support guys sorted it for me by remotely clearing the HMDI ports - it does look like a PS4 is needed to enable auto game mode though! PS5 by itself would not work until I turned on the PS4 which opened the auto game mode. Just thought that might help someone else.

I couldnt work out for the life of me until just now and realised all footage will be 30fps regardless of what you set unless you leave the shutter in AUTO mode. Now it records at 60fps. Every other setting can be manual except the shutter. Now this is a big problem as I cannot keep a constant exposure, or if I want to keep my shutter at 1/125 manually I cannot. In auto shutter, depending on lighting conditions it sometimes drops to 1/90 resulting in somewhat blurred frames just to keep exposure higher. This is not what I WANT nor it is a PRO camera with this limitation.

Galaxy devices feature an internal accelerometer that can determine which way round it is held. Different apps are compatible with different orientations and some can be used in both portrait and landscape mode. If auto rotate is turned on the screen will automatically rotate as you move your device.

My dial mode seem to have a life of it's own. I turn the camera on and it's in auto mode and then all these screens start up as if the dial mode is being rotated and I can't shoot the picture.
I tried updating the firmware and it didn't work.

I have had the searching or switching problem where the camera jumps from mode to mode. I sent it in and samsung fixed it. They said the lense extension system was dirty and could not lock in place--confusing the sensor.

Same with my camera. Apparently it's a widespread manufacturing QC problem. While Samsung focuses its effort primarily on squeezing as much new gizmos (wifi, touchscreen, greater specs in general i.e. zoom, resolution) on the device in order to make it stands out from the competition, the company forgets QC pertained to a camera basic architecture. In this case, it's the camera's node dial. Here's a possible DIY solution. First, remove the camera battery completely from tray. Next, using an eye drop or alcohol-soaked cotton squab, try squirting a few drops of isopropyl alcohol between the crevices of the mode dial and GENTLY move the dial wheel between two mode positions (ie, manual and auto) for about 50 times. Put the battery back on into the tray. Turn on the camera and test to see if it changes position without user input. If that still doesn't work. carefully disassemble the camera starting from below the camera and removing the screw with small tools (ie, such as cell phone driver) and clean the dial cyclinder directly. Hope that help. Good luck!

I searched the internet for a fix and many people said to clear the cache and uninstall all apps that have Car Mode in its name. The only thing that worked for me after multiple attempts of uninstalling and reinstalling car mode is to uninstall the Car mode apps in Safe Mode. Samsung should really pull this app from the play store and their Galaxy apps store, because it caused many people several hours of problems. The app simply does not work, hopefully they will fix it soon.

When the EERO network is put in bridge mode, isn't any device that's connected to it get automatically routed to the upstream device the EERO is bridged to? In my case, that's the Netgear Router, which is providing the DHCP service on my network.

I'm not sure what the implications of this will be, or what other issues may arise, but at least for now, this issue is resolved. The Samsung TV, using auto mode was able to automatically obtain an IP and identify the gateway and dns servers.
