What’s NEW in the beta?
1. AP now supports the next generation of Chrome Extension architecture – largely things you won’t see, but required a lot of rewiring of AP’s logic.
2. AP can now support bold, italic, underline, and even basic bullets – even in plain text editors like Canvas SpeedGrader.
3. AP’s Free Form feature now supports bold/italic/underline/bullet formatting, so you can (for instance) create a comment bubble in Canvas or Google Docs, then click into the Free Form Editor (click the Lightning icon at the top of AP”s sidebar to turn on Free Form). You can even use a keyboard shortcut (CTRL-SHIFT-Z) to jump from the webpage you’re viewing to Free Form, type your comment/message, then CTRL-ENTER to add it to the main page.
4. Improved support for Brightspace (D2L), Blackboard Original, and Blackboard Ultra.
5. Checklists now make it possible to include the choices you did not select in the text inserted by AP. You’ll see a toggle at the top right of the Checklist form that you can flip on/off to include/exclude all the choices. This is useful for showing learners what you DIDN’T observe, for instance.
Will I see my regular AP content (that I’ve worked so hard to create!)?
- Absolutely. The beta version connects to the same data as the regular version of AP. Just log in with your regular credentials.ds
How do I provide feedback, report issues, ask questions?
- Send any feedback/bugs/questions to info@11trees.com. For bugs/issues/ideas, include screenshots and steps to reproduce (if possible). We regularly provide individuals with a year’s access to all paid features and content as a small “thank you” for finding bugs and providing feedback on AP. We love to hear from our users.
How do I get updates to the beta?
- If you have the beta installed you’ll get automatic updates to the beta just like the production version of AP.
Can I keep the production version of AP installed while I use the beta?
- You can happily run both the production version of AP and the beta at the same time. Make sure to disable production if using the beta and vice versa. Visit chrome://extensions/ and toggle one of your APs off or uninstall the production version of AP. In the screenshot below we have toggled ON the AP beta (6.2.b) and toggled OFF the production version.
