Hello group! Just dropping by for "Annie-versary" festivities! I’m sure I speak for many when I say that this was the musical that sparked my passion/love for the performing arts over twenty years ago - seeing kids my age living it up the stage. My late grandmother always favored the Timpani drums in our favorite number “It’s the Hard-Knock Life”. Haha. Lots of wonderful memories through this show title. Today began with a thrill ride of playing/recreating the original 1977 instrumentation excerpt from the "Overture". I've enclosed a session video in this chat for anyone's enjoyment. I would love to one day see a revival with the original orchestrations like wats been currently done with recent revivals (i.e., "Into the Woods", "Sweeney Todd"). I simply can never get enough of that electric blues guitar playing the "Hard-knock Life" chord progression and all throughout the majority of the 77' score.

P.S., Licensing was previously acquired for my producing an instrumental album of the original 1977 orchestrations in the future (no official production start date) but this recording provides a sample of what to expect.

Thank you Miss Julie Stevens for creating a dedicated space for all like-minded "Annie" fans to virtually gather!

Cheers!
