Have you tried an alternate phone number? (if available).

Sent help request to msn through memberservice, it can back as undeliverable ;( (I'll call Monday)
errors= can't connect to server, disconnected from server, pop3 error, disconnect with no error msg, surfing the web is a huge chore these days, in the box @ bottom right, my computer lights up but after a while the internet screen stays blank.
I'm sending it's just not responding....
refresh works sometimes, but mostly I go off and on hoping for a good connection. this has been happening for months now :(

I don't know the exact reasons, but I have 5 local dial-up numbers for MSN, and only 2 of them will give a "good" connection, and of those 2, only one is "stable", that, is I don't get booted off. The "stable" one is the one shared with Earthlink.

yes I am using two of the most recent #'s available, thinking about going back to the old ones, Do you think that will help?
I didn't think about that....
When I log on with the free service, I can move around with no stalling or errors, I will change the # and see if that helps.

I only discovered it by accident. When I first joined MSN there was only one access number (the one I'm currently using, and the only "good" one). They added 4 more, but they're either not "stable", or I can not get a "fast" connection. I don't use any of the MSN software, I simply use a DUN connection.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I pay extra on the phone bill so I have access numbers from Dallas, Plano, and Richardson, I will keep trying till I find the good ones, make a txt file and keep it.
I am on a Dallas number right now, went to IE, did a search (where it usually freezes) and it worked fine.
If this is the reason I have had bad service for four months I am going to kick myself.
