CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS!!!!!

Young Swiss "forgotten" on the highway
A Swiss tourist couple "forgot" their two children, aged 10 and 12, in a
highway rest area in the center of Italy near Livorno, reported La Nazione,
a local newspaper, on Sunday. The couple became aware of what they had
"forgotten" when they were already on the access ramp of the highway, after
taking a short break in the rest area. The driver stopped the car at the
next toll booth, some 12 km from the rest area where the two boys were, to
inform the highway authorities. The two boys had by that time alerted the
police. The police brought the boys to their distracted parents.

Okay, here's a little story in a related vein -- though not QUITE so bad. My
brother and his wife, (kids are grown and gone on their own) travel a lot in
a motorhome. My brother stopped at a gas station to fill up, and thinking
his wife still asleep back in the bed, pulled out when he had made his
purchase of gas. He got about 60 miles and then realized that she had been
sleeping an inordinately long period of time, so called her name -- no
answer. Tried again -- no answer. It seems that Carol had awakened while
Mark was in the gas station, gotten out and gone to the ladies room. Mark
didn't know, got in and took off. So ~120 miles later they were reunited.
Carol was patiently sitting in a chair provided by the service station guys
and waiting for my bro.
