SAY NO TO WOOLIES: SAVE ANNANDALE VILLAGE
With Woolworths' superstore having been formally submitted
for planning permission, now's the time to make sure your
voice is heard. Leichhardt Council support blocking this
development and are keen to hear from the community, either
at a public meeting or through your written objections.
Five reasons why Woolworths' proposal is inappropriate
1. Increased traffic congestion
2. Increased traffic danger to local school children and
residents
3. Increased noise and air pollution with a store
operating 7am to mid night 7 days a week
4. Inappropriate design that's out of keeping with
heritage Annandale and contravening Leichhardt Council's own
retail guidelines
5. Impact on local independent stores that have been
recognised as some of Sydney's best
