***Unfortunately I will not be able to make the night run tomorrow. Sorry for the last minute notice. I think the run can/should go on without me. Last I heard there were a handful of people who were planning on showing up. All I was going to do is thank people for showing up, let people know about the two loops (6 or 9 miles) and get people on their way. I think you all should be able to figure that out without me being there. :-) Enjoy.***
The Friday the 13th March Madness Run is on. Meet at the trailhead at the Island Lake State Recreation Area 7:30 pm. 6 or 9 mile trail runs (come early and get a few loops in if you need to up the miles. Gather at EG Nicks on Grand River after the run for food/drink.

If any of you are looking to join a Dances with Dirt team (Hell version) send me an email. I have a friend who is looking for a team member.

Thanks to Bob who is a list member and the manager of Bivouac in Ann Arbor members of the Ann Arbor Trail Runners now get a 15% discount off of shoes and outdoor clothes at Bivouac. If you are like me the only thing you stretch is the truth every now and then. For those of you thinking about adding more stretching into your routine Earl Wenk from Arbor Wellness has posted a rather comprehensive outline of stretching for runners. The stretches he demonstrates are what is known as Active Isolated Stretching or AIS. If you are interested you can download the brochure here: http://www.arborwellness.com/Stretching_for_Runners.pdf This will open up a 17 page pdf file which you can print and begin to incorporate into your workouts. If people are interested Earl is planning on putting together a class/demonstration of the technique. I will let you know when he sets the time/place/date.
