Just a friendly reminder about the Night of the Day of the Dead run. It's one week away. Check the batteries in your flashlights and headlamps. I hope to see some of you there. Please stop by ABC after the run. Invite your friends. Details below.

Hello everyone,
It has been a long time since we have had a night run through Bird Hills for the Night of the Day of the Dead. If you have joined us for this run in the past you know how much fun it is. I will be turning 50 on October 28th so I thought a fun way for me to celebrate would be to head back to Ann Arbor for a little night run through Bird Hills. After the run we will head to Arbor Brewing Company for some food and/or drinks. I hope that you will join us. Here are the details.
Date: October 29th 2011
Time: 6:45 pm
Run start: Argo Canoe Livery,
1055 Longshore Dr
Distance: About 6 miles
This is a non-competitive run. The goal is to have fun while running on trails in the dark with only our flashlights and the moonlight to guide us. The run celebrates the Day of the Dead/Halloween. Feel free to wear a fun and/or scary costume. Bring you friends.
The course will not be marked so we will run in groups. We prefer fewer than 2 or 3 people get lost out in the woods. On a good year we come back with as many people as we left with. On a great year we come back with one or two more.
After the run we will be heading over to Arbor Brewing Co. to celebrate the run and to help me celebrate my 50th birthday.
Let me know if you if you plan on coming.
I will send out a reminder or two before the night of the event.
