Can anyone assist and advise the correct pathname to refer to the external sd card in a Samsung tablet using android. I have tried many combinations but no luck. In my old tablet, a Samsung tab 10.1 I used the following pathname /storage/extSdCard/anMoney/backups which worked, but this does not work on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2.

Hello, unfortunately in standard this isn't possible anymore because the Anmoney software was changed. This the result of an Android Google design decision. The backup path to the SD card whilst appearing to be selectable isn't. There's a document somewhere in the user group Q+A's which explains the background to this. I remember as I had the same query myself. (Now fixed by periodic manual copying & pasting !)
