I am having trouble with the balance function. I imported my data and
continue to get starting balance does not match balance of all
reconciled transactions. Some transactions were imported as
reconciled. Can you explain exactly how this function works? Also,
is there a purge or preferably an archive function?
Thanks for your help.

Hi, second question first. No, there is no purge function, but if you
insists on purging all transactions, there is a multi-delete, which is
basically the same thing.

As far as the balancing:

The sum of all reconciled transactions must match the last statement
balance for balancing to work. If you import "Recovery Files", as
opposed to "Downloaded Statements", it will preserve the status found
in the QIF import file. But if you use "Downloaded Statements", the
status will be set to unreconciled (and unaccepted), which is not what
you want. In almost all cases, you need to use "Recovery Files" if
you move data from another software.

Thanks for your interest,

Tom

Should say "purging old transactions" instead of "purging all
transactions"
