Greetings to all,

I want to point your attention to the statistics page for the
Terminology project, where you can see how the various teams are
doing.

http://www.it46.se/glossmaster/statistics.php

You can see that the Luganda team is jetting along, with work almost
half done. Congratulations to our partners at Appfrica!

Swahili and Amharic have also made a lot of progress, approaching the
40% mark for "fuzzy" entries. Remember, a "fuzzy" entry is one that
is started but not completed - either it has a translation but no
definition, or it has both a translation and a definition but the team
still wants to do more work on the entry before marking it complete.

Arabic has about 1/8 of the terms at "fuzzy", and Akan has made a
healthy start. Somali and Afrikaans have also gotten out of the gate.

The rest of the languages are still at the starting line (unless the
partners are working offline and plan to upload a large chunk of data
at one time - I know that Songhay is working this way). If you are
responsible for one of these languages and need help getting underway,
please contact me so we can discuss any issues that need to be worked
out!

One final note, regarding French: we expect to do some major work
comparing the ANLoc terms with the Canadian Translation Bureau
database, Termium, in the next few weeks. So we hope to have a large
chunk of the data available at a "fuzzy" level for French very soon.
I hope this will be helpful to our Francophone teams!

Best,
Martin
