Why Isn't My Device Supported?

Here's the scoop. Even though a device may meet our minimum technical requirements, it might still be incompatible with Anki Overdrive, due to variances in both hardware and software implementation by the device manufacturer. (To be fair, we're pretty sure we're the first company to utilize the full extent of this technical standard.)

What happens most commonly is that the Android device has a hard time establishing and/or maintaining a Bluetooth connection to the car(s), which can get frustrating very quickly. The good news is that you can nearly always tell if your specific device is compatible by this simple test:
  • Go to our Google Play page while logged in to your account (the Google account associated with your Android device)
  • Towards the top of the web page, it will tell you whether or not your device(s) is compatible
