I know this is answered on you website, but is there any progress on getting cross platform IOS and Android working ?
I only have a iPhone and a Galaxy Tab 4 (arriving soon), and really would like to be able to play both at the same time.

While there's no simple fix for our current Drive app, our upcoming OverDrive app is being engineered from the ground up to support both platforms in a single game. The OverDrive app will support basic game play on all of our existing tracks and cars in addition to supporting the upcoming OverDrive tracks.

FYI, I'll be looking for beta testers that have iOS + Android devices and already own a roll out track. If interested in applying, make sure you're signed up on our beta site and have your platforms filled out, then watch for an email this summer. Thanks for your question!

Sharon - I have Bottleneck set up in my teams office.  My team is IOS and Android.  They love Anki... and another co-worker came up with his Iphone 6 and competed in several battles.  We can't wait until september for the modular tracks.  Should I indicate iphone in by Beta profile-- given my teammates have iOS?

Observations:

The iPhone app has a cooler interface than the Android (whats up with that!?!)
We were able to host a game using iPhone, but I could not host a game on my Nexus 5 with my Nexus 7.  Is this just a Nexus 7 issue?  I had no problem hosting the Nexus 7 away from the office.
Why is the MotoX not supported?  is there a trail app similar to the one for the nexus 7?

Thanks!
Dael

Awesome, @Dale!

> Should I indicate iphone in by Beta profile

Yes - any device that you have regular access to should be included in your beta profile. That's very helpful for us and also ups your chances of getting selected.

Well, it has been out for a year longer... ;)

The easy thing to check: make sure both devices are on the exact same wifi network. I assume you've already done this though.

I 99.99% guarantee you this is an issue with an office network setting. You'll need to get your IT person to enable both multicasting and wireless client isolation. Also, sometimes the IT person will set up different frequency support (2.4GHz & 5GHz) for a single access point (in order to support a broad range of wifi devices). If this is true in your case, you'll need to make sure both devices are using the same frequency--again, check with your IT person for this.

We're having to work around hardware limitations, and yes, there's a special beta download for all Moto devices that fixes a crash issue. However, the Turbo is the only Moto model that currently works reasonably well with the beta app. We're working to see if we can get the others working, but this will take some time.
@All - If you have a Motorola device and want to try the beta, see the usual instructions here.

ps LOVE the photo - thanks for sharing!!

Thanks Sharon!  It definitely is the work wifi.  I was able to tether my phone's wifi to the Moto X and the Moto X was able to connect as a host for the Nexus 7.  We were supposed to play an actual game today, but time did not allow.  We'll check it out next week.

Also, i found the Moto X beta chain after i sent this, hence my teammate was able to download Anki.

Appreciate your response.
