font for ancient greek?

Hello,
I made a deck with ancient greek vocabulary. The words have several different accents : acute accent, grave accent, circumflex, rough breathing and smooth breathing (sometimes combined).
The card are displaying fine when I learn on my laptop, but with ankidroid some accented letters are either replaced by a square or not displayed at all.
I found the manual instructions to install special fonts... but is it for ancient greek or modern greek (which has only two different accents)?
Since the cards have no problem on my laptop, doesn't it mean I should install ancient greek font on my phone rather than in anki? (if such a thing exist)
I'll be glad if anybody learning ancient greek could give me help with this.

I installed the noto font for ancient greek, but unfortunately, the result is the same...

ὁ ἀδελφός, οῦ is still displayed as "δελφός, ο" :-(

Any other idea ?

Well after spending a ton of time on this issue, I finally got my device to display correctly. Here is what I did.

 

Downloaded just the plain sans noto font on my phone. This created a “fonts” folder directory on my phone.

 

Plugged my phone into my PC so I could access the directories.

 

Followed theses instruction that I came across this morning:

 

Alternatively, you can create a new subfolder "fonts" in the main AnkiDroid directory (i.e. the folder specified under Settings > AnkiDroid > Collection path), copy a compatible ttf font file there, and then set this as the default font under Settings > Fonts > Default font. Note: using this method is much less reliable than the recommended way, and will likely lead to inconsistencies if you study on more than one device.

I than unplugged my phone from the PC and opened Anki

 

Went to settings and now saw the noto font which seems to display correctly.

 

And it now works. It took me maybe 15 minutes this morning, after hours of time yesterday.

Since one of the update, the same problem appeared again... I tried to install anew the font, but no success... Anybody has the same problem?

Hi,
Have you resolved your issue?
I have just started learning ancient Greek (self study), and a key way I use to revise are flashcards, which I think is what you mean by decks?
I use the Flashboard app, free fro iPad and it works great. The app allows me to download sheets I create in Google, and displays them as flashcards - very neat.
Would also love to hear about online forums and other such spaces to help me take forward my study...

Yes the problem has meanwhile been solved... with one of the update probably (I can't remember exactly when).
I am speaking about decks because I am using Anki for my flashcards and it is the term that this programm uses.
