Hi,
How does this Reschedule-Option work?

(1) If I reschedule one card to “10 days”... What schedule will Anki use after these “10 days”? Will it impact the spaced repetition algorithm for this card in general or not?

(2) If I reschedule a card to “10 days”, do I see the card again in exactly 10 days or in something between 8-12 days?

Reschedule => Reschedule for review in x days:
Every card has “More options” (“3 dots” in the right upper corner, s. screenshots). You can find Reschedule at the bottom.

I think this may have more information available at https://forums.ankiweb.net - if you search there it may already be answered! It's not really AnkiDroid specific so that will be a better spot I think

As far as I can see it is really AnkiDroid specific. You don't have the same in Anki Desktop.
Thanks, I've been already at https://forums.ankiweb.net. There is one question about this Reschedule-Option in AnkiDroid forum there. The question was NOT answered there in about 2 weeks. And after some days this question was moved by the developer from Forum "Scheduling"  into forum  "AnkiDroid". That's the second reason why I think it is AnkiDroid specific.
Is it possible to ask developers of AnkiDroid here? Are they here in the group?
I don't really know how to ask on github.
Thank you for the answer Mike :)

Hmm - you have certainly put in the effort looking around then, sorry it's bouncing back and forth.

The only thing is that I've worked on the reschedule code, and we're calling into the shared library for all the Anki clients :-), so it *should* not be AnkiDroid specific, unless they just don't expose that in their UI on desktop?

With apologies, could you try one more venue for me? This one is where *all* the work for AnkiDroid takes place and I know the people that deeply understand the scheduler can see it - plus if there is a documentation update to make we can tag it as such. Can you open an issue for a documentation update in our issue tracker here: https://github.com/ankidroid/Anki-Android/issues/new/choose ?

Thanks for the patience -

-Mike

What does it mean " an issue for a documentation update "?
Well as I already said I feel myself lost every time I am on github.com. What do you want me to do exactly? The first... the second...
This screenshot shows what I see:

You are in the right spot!

Choose bug report, and explain your question (just copy and paste it really? that should be enough) - you can say I sent you there, to lend it some credibility ;-). We'll figure it out from there, it's not super formal and there are many people that can help

Wow! There are already 11 days. https://github.com/ankidroid/Anki-Android/issues/11353
It's only a question, not a bug.
Mike, does it mean that the team on github doesnt have the answer?

Sorry - probably not, I think the majority of the team right now is buried in work. We just finished processing Google Summer of Code applicants (which is a *massive* maintainer burden - we had 70 (?) open source newcomers all struggling for attention at the same time over the last month applying - with work examples) and I'm not sure about the other maintainers but I was completely buried and need to catch up on things that pay my rent

As long as it's in github it will be tracked and it will get attention, but we are volunteers so it may take a bit. I do appreciate that you logged it in there, that's a critical step in my opinion
