Hi there!
Anki is really very very helpful. A big thank to all the volunteer devs who make it possible for us to use this great SW.
I realized that filtered decks are the key for individuel modifyings of your study habitations. I know that it is easy to create a filtered deck just by "TAG:TAGNAME" but how could I create a filtered deck which is merging the flashcards of two or three or more different tags?
I already tried to seperate TAGNAMEs with semikolon or space aso. but couldnt find a way....is there a way?
Thank you

Hi there, separating by a space will find those cards which include both tags simulataneously... e.g. "TAG:TAGNAME1 TAG:TAGNAME2". You can use the "or" keyword if you want to get either tagname.
However starting from version 2.1 which is getting released later today, you can use the new "custom study" option which makes this infinitely easier.

Thanks!
Its not quite that what I need but thank you anyway. The problem is I want to pick the cards by tag and merge them not isolate them by tag.
E.g.: 100 cards (notes) have tag "A" and another 200 tag "B" but none of those cards have been tagged "A" and "B". It ends up that not only 1 card is being skipped to the filtered deck. The keyword "or" I have also tried and it seems to be that what I need but it didnt worked. When I search for "TAG:A or TAG:B" it builts up a deck with only cards which are tagged "A".

Edit:It worked!! "OR" was the clue! Thank you Tim! Is there a list of "keywords" somewhere?
Cheers!

Yes the Anki desktop manual is the place to read:

The custom study dialog in the new version will allow you to do what you want without manually typing in the search terms though

I just tried to do a filtered deck based on two tags with "or" lowercase, and it worked on the latest dev version (v2.2alpha55-ish)

Thank you. "tag:firstTag or tag:secondTag" works perfectly.

Just in case there are any other confused people out there, remember to remove any other filtered decks if you're having trouble with cards not showing up. That was my issue for...far too long.

Does this work with the deck:"MyDeck" search term? I want to have "deck:deck1 or deck:deck2" and I can't for the life of me get it to work!

(deck:deck1 or deck:deck2)

If you want to create a custom deck based on several tags, you can just long press on the deck -> custom study -> limit to tags -> choose your tags
