Hi everyone,

My need is to make it possible to have an apkg file that I am able to import on AnkiDroid, from a simple Excel file where I have put 2 columns.
1st column contains a name and the 2nd column its definition.

Once able to get all names and their definitions on the app, I can start rehearsing them :)

Thank you very much for your help,
Best regards.

Hi there!

AnkiDroid does not currently support imports from any formats other than .apkg (single deck) or .colpkg (whole collection) files. If you want to do an Excel import you'll need to use the companion app AnkiDesktop (also free + open source, should run on any computer you can find). Then use AnkiWeb (also free) to sync up to the cloud and down to your mobile device.

We currently don't have plans to include .csv import, but that is just because as a volunteer app no one has signed up to try to implement it yet - if you know how to program and want to extend the AnkiDroid importer to handle .csv files it would be a great feature to have
