Thank you always, developers.

I have been trying to make pull requests for days. I have managed to clone the AnkiDroid repository on my PC, and have gone through some errors on Android Studio, and yet haven't been able to open the AnkiDroid project on Android Studio.

After starting and taking some time, Android Studio says as follows. (Please see the details in the attachment files.)

  - Gradle project sync failed. Basic functionality (e.g. editing, debugging) will not work properly.

  - FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

  - Where: Build file 'C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\GitHub\Anki-Android\AnkiDroid\build.gradle' line: 3

  - Exception is: org.gradle.api.plugins.UnknownPluginException: Plugin [id: 'com.github.triplet.play', version: '3.7.0'] was not found in any of the following sources (…)"

Though I tried clicking the "Run with --info", "--debug option", and "Run with --scan" on the message, they couldn't solve this error.

The versions are as follows.

 - Android Studio Version: Bumblebee | 2021.1.1 Patch 3

  - Android Gradle Plugin Version: 7.1.3

 - Gradle Version: 7.4.2

 - Gradle JDK Version: 11.0.11

I am at a standstill. Could you please tell me what I am supposed to do? Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Best regards,

snowtimeglass

Hey snowtimeglass - sorry for the delay - I just checked, and I'm not sure why this is happening. That is the current version of the file, and that plugin *does* exist. This appears to be something of a network problem somehow?

Here's how I check for general availability of plugins, their versions, and which maven repository is hosting them online for gradle to pull down: https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/com.github.triplet.gradle/play-publisher
