How to have different font size for Anki desktop and Ankidroid when reviewing cards?

Dear all,

How to have different font size for Anki desktop and Ankidroid?

My Anki font size is 30pts. It's small when view on desktop and too large for my liking when view on phone.

I would love to reduce the font size in my phone, when I do that the desktop font size will also change. How do I avoid that?

Hello Roxanne,

That's a problem I ran into as well.

There are two ways to deal with it:

1. In AnkiDroid if you open the side menu (the three bars on the top left) and go to Settings, you will under "Reviewing" an item called "Card zoom", that can be used to increase the overall size of the content of the cards (or decrease it)

2. If you want more control, you can set the size for Desktop and AnkiDroid separately in the card styling section of your cards (easier to do that on the desktop). You can specify the styling for AnkiDroid by specifying ".mobile" in front of the styling specific for AnkiDroid. For example you can have:
   .card { font-size: 25pt;  }
   .mobile .card {font-size: 40pt; }
