Hello

I have noticed that in Ankidroid, in order to change deck option group, I must go into the deck title page (or whatever it's called), then go into settings, and click group. I think too many steps are involved.

How about putting group option only in the deck menu (when you hold down a deck and where the collapse deck, name deck and delete deck options are).

It would we way faster to change deck group option this way.

Thanks.

I agree this would be good. Great suggestion!
It is also in line with what is offered by the desktop app.

I would suggest also providing these options in the overflow menu in the desk screen.
Long-press is generally a hard to discover feature.

you mean have a little drop down triangle? Yes, that would also be faster than holding down the deck too.

Not exactly.

My suggestion was to use the existing menu while showing the deck.

In this view, the main button on screen is "Start reviewing" and the
menu (accessible either in the action bar or via the hardware menu
button) contains "Preferences", "Rotate", and "Filter/Cram". My
suggestion would be to include the "Rename", "Options" and
"Delete" action for the deck in that menu as well.

First of all, I fail to see the reason for "preferences" and "Filter/Cram" options in the "start Reviewing" page, "preferences" and "Filter/Cram" options are not deck specific, so why are they needed again in the "start reviewing" page?

I think we should have + and - sign in front of the decks to collapse and expand like on desktop, "rename", "options" and "delete" in the holding down menu.

I don't think it is a good idea to put "rename" and "delete" after you selection the deck, it would be inconsistent with normal computing operation and with Anki desktop.

I think we should be consistent with Anki Desktop as much as possible...

So as per Xiao's original suggestion, I agree it's a good idea to add the deck options to the long click menu from the deck picker. (Xiao, if you want this implemented, I suggest adding a new issue on tracker)
In the deck view, the Filter/Cram option should be removed from the menu, and a "custom study" button added (issue 1569) as per Desktop.
