To disable the reminder, go to the Preferences, go to the Widget
section, and uncheck "Vibrate", or set the "Widget notification
threshold" to "Never".
I am not 100% this preference section was already in 0.4.2 actually...
if not, upgrade to 0.5alpha8, which can be found here:

Thanks for using AnkiDroid, and thanks for your feedback!

Is it possible to set the notification setting through Tasker? Or is
that something that is even possible to incorporate into AnkiDroid?
Jason
What is Tasker? I just found an app with this name on dinglisch.net, is that it?
Sounds interesting, could you please elaborate on how AnkiDroid and
Tasker could collaborate?
Thanks for participating in AnkiDroid!
Nicolas Raoul
Yes that is the correct app. Tasker is a ~$7 app that allows you to
automate tasks on your phone. For example I have a profile to turn my
phone on vibrate when I am at work. Here's a nice life hacker article
about Tasker.

AnkiDroid could integrate with tasker by allowing tasker to enable and
disable the AnkiDroid notifications and set the AnkiDroid notification
threshold. Here is the basic information on integrating with tasker as
a plugin:

Thank you for developing AnkiDroid! It's really helpful and I've been
playing with the syncing features.
