Because AnkiWeb is a free service, we need to delete data from accounts that have not been used in 6 months or more. If your data is deleted, all of your personal decks and any associated images and sounds will be lost from AnkiWeb.
Deletion of your AnkiWeb data will not affect any data you have saved on your computer or mobile device. If you have shared decks or add-ons that are receiving downloads, they will remain.
If you have been syncing with Anki recently, and are confused as to why you're receiving this message, it is possible you have accidentally created multiple accounts. You can confirm the account you're using by going into the sync settings of Anki, and looking at the email that is listed there.
If you would like to prevent your decks from being removed, please visit ankiweb.net and review one or more cards, or sync one of your devices with AnkiWeb.
If you no longer need your account, no further action is needed, and we will not mail you again.
