Can you please check which version of AnkiDroid you are using? Go to Menu -> About, and it's at the top. A screenshot would help here as well.

I just found a bug where the image is resized according to the orientation you enter the review session in. So if you start reviewing in portrait mode and then switch to landscape, the images will be resized according to the maximum width of portrait mode (i.e., they will be small). The inverse applies too. Perhaps this is the same issue. Try starting your reviews in landscape mode and see if it makes a difference.

Hi, Yes, I am having the same problem. Samsung Galaxy S3, a couple of days ago the images and text have suddenly become really small when they are viewed on screen. It happened suddenly, perhaps as a result of an upgrade i wasnt aware of.

thanks

Have been using Anki for 3 years and love it!

With the recent update, all of my images have become really small and unusable on Ankidroid on my Samsung Galaxy S3 - the main device I use for reviews. All the images are in the phone SD card, in the correct folder, and look normal size when I open them in that way (i.e. outside of the Ankidroid program).

Does anyone know how to fix this? They were all perfect before (when they were stored in Dropbox). I'm using Anki to get me through medical school and I need to access these X-rays, pictures of rashes, etc!!

Thanks

Hi Andrew,

I can't reproduce this issue so I need you to send me something so I can have a look. Can you please export a deck from the desktop client and send me the .apkg? You can create a new deck and only put 1 card in it if you don't want to send me the whole deck.

Hi,

I am using AnkiDroid 2.0, on a Samsung Galaxy S3, running Android 4.1.2. It doesnt matter if i start the review in landscape or portrait (including closing all apps and starting up again), the pictures and text still come out really small.

Also in the last couple of days the sync has stopped working, have added a post to the this googlegroup

Hope someone can help, have sent a small donation to developer as i think the programme is great. I do think it would be better to make it more intuitive and simpler (especially for a first time user) - it is pretty complex if you just want to do simple things as a first time user, and i think this would put many people off getting to grips with it.

Hi

Thanks for sending me the sample and photo. The deck itself is fine, but it looks like you have the simple interface option enabled. Turn it off by going to Preferences -> Reviewing -> Simple Interface (untick).

Do you remember enabling this? I don't think the upgrade would do it automatically.

Hi all,

Was looking for the solution also. Found a way to stop shrink the pictures through this code:

-------------------------------------------------
img

{max-width:none ; max-height:none}

-------------------------------------------------

Simply create a new "Note Type" of your cards and add this code into "Card/Style" field (the one on the left/center).
- After this the pictures around 1600 pixels are nicelly visible in AnkiDroid.
