anki cards: temporarily suspended or permanently

I am on Ankidroid 2.9.6. In the gestures settings I can choose a gesture for "suspend temporarily" and another for "suspend permanently", among others.

Could somebody please explain what "suspend temporarily" means in contrast to "suspend permanently". I've been unable to find any explanation neither in the manual for anki/windows nor in the manual for ankidroid.

Hi, actually you have four options: "suspend card", "suspend note", "bury card" and "bury note".
With "suspend temporarily" you probably mean "bury", which will remove the card/note for one day from your reviews. The next day it will be unburied automatically.

With "suspend permanently" you probably refer to "suspend" which will remove the card/note from your reviews until you manually unsuspend it in the card browser (there's an option to show all suspended card).

If your note type has more than one card per note, then "suspend note" and "bury note" will suspend or bury ALL cards of this note type. So if you just want to suspend/bury a single card, then use "bury card" or "suspend card".

Ich benutze die deutsche Version. Es gibt im „Gesten“-Menü in diesem Zusammenhang vier Optionen: Karte zurückstellen, dauerhaft aussetzen, Notiz vorläufig aussetzen, Notiz dauerhaft aussetzen. Was ist der Untschied zwischen „vorläufig aussetzen“ und „dauerhaft aussetzen“?

Hi, dann scheinen die Optionen für Gesten in der Deutschen Version schlecht übersetzt zu sein. Ich nutze seit einigen Jahren nur die Englische Version, und da heißt es "bury" und "suspend".
"Bury" ist immer temporär, also bedeutet "vorläufig aussetzen", dass die Karte am nächsten Tag automatisch wieder hervor geholt wird.
"Suspend" ist generell dauerhaft, also meint "dauerhaft aussetzen", dass die Karte so lange ausgesetzt bleibt, bis du sie per "unsuspend" Taste (wie auch immer die im Deutschen heißt) wieder manuell hervor holst.

Ich habe die englische und die deutsche Version verglichen. Es ist mir nun klargeworden, dass die 4 Optionen für
-Karte aussetzen und zurückstellen und
-Notiz aussetzen und zurückstellen stehen.
