V3 scheduler

On both my pc (windows) and android I am using the v3 scheduler. After
opening the android app, new cards stop showing on the pc. I have to go
back and set the "new cards ignore review limit" option on again.

So, the app is turning off that option.

Hi there! Without knowing what versions you're on it is hard to help


I'll hazard a guess though - I bet you are running on v2.16.5 of
AnkiDroid? And no idea on Desktop but current there is 23.12.1,
hopefully you are current.


It turns out that AnkiDroid 2.17.1 (soon to be 2.17.2 - but scheduler
hasn't changed between 2.17.1 and 2.17.2) is actually the most recent
version, and it shares the exact same scheduler code as desktop now so
it shouldn't suffer this problem.


We are doing a staged rollout of 2.17 so we are not overwhelmed with
support requests, so it is only available to 20% of our users on the
Play Store at the moment and you may have just not gotten it if my guess
is accurate. You can get it directly though to see if it fixes your
