AnkiDroid app

Hi,

First I'd like to thank you for creating such an amazing program to aid us in learning. I use and advocate for Anki a lot amongst my friends. I just had a request for the android app. If you could please allow us to sync media in the background so we can study while it syncs and allow custom button mapping features in case we use a Bluetooth keyboard/controller. Otherwise I think the app is perfect. Thank you guys again!

Hi there - this is in progress, we are slowly converting to a new underlying library that handles the interaction with the collection and with the AnkiWeb servers, and the new library already is capable of doing background media sync

It will probably be a long while though, it's an epic size project meaning lots and lots of work to do before it's all ready.

Request noted though, for sure
