Hi! I'm trying to figure Anki out, it's too hard sometimes and things don't work as I expect!
I downloaded some decks with Japanese vocabulary, I put it in the configuration group for random order, let's say my cards are:

front: one
back: 1

front: two
back: 2

front: three
back: 3

When I study that deck, let's say the cards come as: "two/2", "one/1", "three/3", then after that I get "recall" cards it seems, but the issue is that they come up in the same order as the previous "recognition" cards, so I already know the answer. the cards come up as "2/two", "1/one", "3/three". So when the first recall question "2" comes up I already know the answer is "two" and usually I remember the following cards... this is frustrating, it does not help, can that be changed?

I'm lost, I can't find the answers on the manual or on this forum...
Thank you for your patience.

If you find yourself remembering the opposite sides, you can either
introduce more cards at once or please the recall cards in a separate
deck and study them separately at a different time.

Oh so this deck was made this way then? Is there an easy way of
editing these type of decks? I'm going to check what I can do with the
"browse" button... any hint is appreciated.

I realized how to move the recall cards to a different deck, do I have to do it one by one? This is what I'm doing right at this moment...

Sorry, that should have read "place the recall cards".

You can select all the recall cards at once and move them in one go.
You can use 'card:card name' (including the quotes) to search for a
particular card name.

Ok! I do a search like this
'deck:Minna no nihongo 1.02' 'card:Recall'
and then I can move them :-D Cool (it was cool after I figured how to do a search...)
I'll do this with the 25 or so decks I have and then sync to my cell.
Is there a way to COPY the cards instead of moving them?

No, as that doesn't make sense in Anki's data model.

Oh that's right, the cards are a global thing! Is there an option to
create a deck on the go with random cards from all the decks or only
from a certain group of decks? when you select to do a "cram deck",
does it take cards from all the decks? what if you are studing let's
say chemistry and japanese and you don't want them mixed?
I hope you get what I mean...

Filtered decks are fully documented in the desktop manual - please have a look.

Thanks Damien, I see now. I'm so anxious to start using the program
fully that I overlook some essential stuff. I'll try to be patient and
read everything.
Cheers!
