Hi there,

since today AnkiDroid crashes when trying to add a new note. The app immediately disappears after tapping the +note button. After the 1st crash I was able to send the crash report, but later there was no more ability to do so.

I also uninstalled, deleted sdcard/ankidroid and reinstalled, but still the same.
Also strange: after reinstalling, all my stored decks and cards are still there, without having to connect with my ankiweb account or so. As I read here, actually after deleting sdcard/ankidroid there should be a totally fresh start.

Anyone else with this issue here?

Best regards

Gary

My best guess here is you are running into a bug that we have fixed already in the alpha series for the next release - could you try it and see if it works for you?

Hi again,

I ran into the same issue again, and again reinstalling the latest alpha solved the problem. Probably I found out that it could have something to do with Windows Anki. Because this time it happended after making some changes in Windows and syncing them to Ankiweb and then Ankidroid. Before that everything was fine. And I have not been using Windows Anki for a longer time. So it just could be a hint.

Best regards

Gary
