Hello!

I have been using Ankiweb with Ankidroid on my mobile phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 4) for a month when today I was trying to sync Ankidroid on my phone with some new cards I created on Ankiweb, and I suddenly got this error message:

*Collection not opened
Database could not be opened. It's either not a real Anki database or has been corrupted.
You can try to repair the collection or restore it from a backup. Touch 'options' for that. A copy of the corrupt deck will be moved to the subfolder '/broken'.
More information about repairing corrupted decks: http://ankisrs.net/docs/DeckErrors.html*

Then when I press on "Options," choosing any of the options (Retry opening, Repair database, Restore from backup, Full sync from server) leads me back to the same "Collection not opened" error message.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling AnkiDroid on my phone and I still get the same message. I can't get beyond this message and my collection from Ankiweb will not load, even though when I log into Ankiweb from my computer, there is no problem.

This has been happening since yesterday and I'm really worried because I have created about 30 decks of flashcards on Ankiweb (total disc usage .83 MB), and need them for a language course I am in the middle of. PLEASE HELP!!!

Thank you for your attention!

Hi Elise,

Can you currently review the cards normally on Anki Web?
If so I would firstly strongly recommend backing up your AnkiWeb material on your PC by syncing Anki Desktop with Anki Web.

Then in AnkiDroid, there should also be another option there -- "Delete collection and create new one"...?
Does it work? If that works, you'll end up with an empty collection in AnkiDroid, but pressing the sync button once should fix that.

Please let us know if that helps!

Hi, I think I solved the issue by erasing the collection on Ankidroid. After that, it seems to have synced the collection from Ankiweb fully again. (I hope that solved the issue!!!)
