reinstalling ankidroid

Hi. The app won't open. If I uninstall and reinstall the app will my cards be lost?

You are correct to be concerned here. It is possible that all your data will be lost if you uninstall the app and you do not have a copy of the data anywhere else (for instance: synced with the free AnkiWeb service, or locally to the Anki Desktop built-in local sync server, or exported periodically and backed up)

The best thing to do might be to grab the beta of the upcoming 2.17 release series and install it directly over the existing installation. It will hopefully fix whatever the issue is, without uninstalling https://github.com/ankidroid/Anki-Android/releases
