Hello,

I love using AnkiDroid for language learning and have imported many decks onto my phone in the past with no problem, but today I've tried to upload multiple decks and each one seems to fail. I downloaded the shared deck from ankiweb on my phone and tried two different methods to get the deck into AnkiDroid. First, I went to the downloads folder and clicked on the file; the pop up to import the deck came up and I clicked "add". However, each time it gets to about 15% and then a pop up that says "AnkiDroid" appears that only has the option to hit "OK". I then moved the file into the "emulate/storage/0/AnkiDroid" file, as prompted, and hit IMPORT in the menu options and selected the correct file. Once again, the import only got to about 15% and the pop up saying "AnkiDroid" appeared again.

Do you have any ideas as to what I should do to correct this? I'm at a loss as I've never had any issues before.

Best wishes,
Maureen

Hi there!

Interesting - there are some known performance problems with importing decks into AnkiDroid, which I would expect to see with some combination of very large decks or restricted device resources (small memory, basically). Can you give us the phone model, the Android version, the AnkiDroid version, and a link to the shared deck on the web? I can try to reproduce it that way

If it’s not performance-related, I’m unsure though - maybe others have seen similar behavior for other reasons...

Thanks -
-Mike
