Hello!
I used to use Anki to learn English. I have decided to use it for teaching languages now.
So. I need cards with 2 sides. One side in one language, the other in another. I need each card to be able to appear twice, starting from different sides. I also need the cards to be shuffled in the deck.
So, I created a deck. But when I activate this deck, these cards are shown first and in order.
I went to deck settings, new cards and chose shuffle new cards. Now it seems to me that they are shuffle, but each card is shown only on the first side, although I have the type Basic (and reversed card).
What should I do?
Thank you in advance!

Hi there!

I think that is because "bury siblings" is on, that is, the front card and the back card are considered "siblings" and there is a chance that if you see them on the same day they will interfere with each other, from the perspective of memory formation. In the settings you can turn off "bury siblings" and I think on desktop at least this is the default now (to *not* bury siblings) since it is surprising to many if they notice it, and few people are aware of it

Hopefully this helps -

-Mike

"bury siblings"? I didn't found it on my Android application.
And did you understand my question correctly?
