Good Day ANKI Team,

I am a new user of Ankidroid and I am having a problem in inserting a media file specifically the sound file (mp3 format) in my flash cards.  There are only 3 options in adding media files, 1st is the Add image, 2nd is the Record audio and last is the Advanced editor.  I want to add audio files that I have downloaded from Forvo.com to my flash cards but to no avail.

Please help me. Note that this is the ANKI in my android phone since I do not have an ANKI in my computer.

 Thank you so much.

regards,

Mark Edward

Hello Mark,

There is currently no option to add MP3 files on Android.
You can do so on the desktop app.

Any idea if any upcoming Ankidroid update will remedy this so sound & mp3 files can be attached for Android? It would help immemsely.

The function is missing but... there's an easy work-around:
Copy/move the sound file into the folder

Ankidroid/collection.media

Create your flashcard and in the field where you want the sound file type:

[sound:filename.mp3] where filename.mp3 is the name of your sound file.

That's it!
