AnkiDroid Again-Hard-Good-Easy etc review preferences

I have no clue how this works. I've looked at the website's manual and it still doesn't make a lot of sense. I get these odd times and it is never consistent.

One card says Again 10 min, Hard 6 days, Good 7 days, Easy 8 days

The next card can say Again <1 min, Good 10 min, Easy 10 days

Then another says Again 10 min, Hard 4 days, Good 5 days, Easy 6 days

And then another Again 10 min, Hard 11 days, Good 12 days, Easy 13 days

These are without me changing preferences, why are they so different and weird?

How can I get them to be

Again <10 minutes, Hard 1 day, Good 10 days, Easy 30 days, or something like that?  Or at least more consistent.  11 days for a hard card seems way too long

I've been playing around with the percents and such, but I can't seem to get anything that seems to make sense

That these times change is the whole magic and point of the app, the intervals will never be the same because you learn cards at different speeds and intervals get longer over time when you know the card well because there's no point in showing it every week if you know it anyway.

So the Good interval might be 4 days for a card and if you select Good you'll see it again in 4 days. But then Anki assumes you know the card better than last time (because you saw it more often) so the Good interval might increase to for example 15 days. The button you choose influences how these intervals change over time.
