Problems with anki android desktop

Hi, 

I have recently got Anki and have started making cards with it, it has got to the point where I want to create a login in so that they save and I can then use the account on other devices. However, whenever I try to click on the refresh button to then login in it takes me to the page where the email and password section is before glitching and shutting down the whole app. 

I have tried closing down my laptop and looking online neither of which has come to a solution. Is there something else that I should be doing as I really don't want to lose the cards I have already created?
