Hi, all,

I'm a big fan of TTS and would like to improve my flashcard template in the following ways. I Imagine there are many other users would like this function, but I haven't been able to find examples.

1. Remove the autoplay feature of the TTS, on the 'back card' only.

2. Add a "play button" to both the front and back cards (see image). Here the user clicks on the "play button" and the TTS for a field is read out.

Has anyone done this before?
10 karma points for someone who can write a CSS script for a "play button" which plays the TTS.

Btw, I might need to add that I only use Ankidroid to generate/add my cards, hence this function rather than using Awesome TTS.

Many thanks,

Thanks,

This is the idea that I'm looking for. I do like the sound of the 'Responsive Voice' TTS.

I'm still having some problems.

1. The script creates the play button, but activating the button doesn't play the TTS.
2. There is still the issue of TTS automatically reading text. Can TTS begin playing only upon button activation?

Many thanks,
