Hello! First of all I would like to thank you for this wonderful app, I just want to inform you, that I'm having some problems with TTS, the app only reads the answers of 1 deck and only "automoves" to the next question in that deck, in the other decks it only reads the question, thats all. I have choosen the option "use general configuration" for that purpose for each deck.

وقتی یک کلمه انگلیسی ذخیره میکنم آیا برنامه خودش کلمه تلفظ میکنه ؟ اگه تلفظ میکنه کلمه رو تو کدوم قسمت برنامه هست ؟؟
 منظورم این نیست که خودم با صدای خودم تلفظ کلمه انگلیسی ضبط کنم

That sounds like a crash to me! We hate hate hate crashes and work to fix them as fast as possible.


I'm really sorry it's happening.


Can you do a couple things for us to try to troubleshoot this?


- make absolutely sure you are using the latest stable version, should be v2.15.6

- run check database on your collection (deck like --> top right menu bar --> check database)

- please if you can enable crash reporting (it is opt-in, to protect privacy, but it is how we get the code stack trace to find the problem)

- if it still happens, open an issue with the debug information requested here: https://docs.ankidroid.org/help.html

Hi!

I've had ankidroid for years now, and I'm just now noticing that it takes forever to start up every day. It seems like it downloads my entire collection every day, which takes upwards of ten minutes. Previously, it seemed that it would just sync any changes in due cards and completed cards dince the previous sync without having to do such an extensive download. I could be totally wrong about this. I just wanted to reach out and see if this is normal or some sort of issue. Thanks for keeping Anki mobile for us!!

Hi there -


This is not normal. It sounds like for whatever reasons the collections cannot determine that they are in sync, although your image appears to indicate that it's media files that are downloading.


Note that media sync is slightly separate from the collection of cards, and it may be that your media has never fully synced, meaning that there really are media files left to download. I would keep syncing and doing your best to allow it to do it's work until there truly are no media files left to download


If you are 100% certain that at the end of one of these syncs all your media is present and both AnkiWeb and your device are in sync so there are no actual changes on either side, then you might try settings -> advanced -> force full sync and choose to sync down to the device from ankiweb. This will also be a large slow sync but at the end you will hopefully enjoy the near instance "no change" syncs that you would expect when there aren't any changes

Hello,
i have the following Problem: I made a lot of anki cards on my Desktop Computer. I could synchronise it with AnkiMobile on my ipad, but when I synchronise it with my phone via ankidroid it shows that I have no new or old cards (but I have), although my phone did download the cards.

Hi could you tell me please about Anki.
When I study cards, I press the button "repeat after 10 minutes", but Anki shows me this card not after 10 minutes, but even after 1 or 2 or 5 etc minutes. Is something wrong?

I just verified to make sure and sync6.ankiweb.net is *definitely* a valid host name, so your network is (for some reason) not responding correctly when asked to connect you to known-good internet host names.

Hi guys! As i understand your app is the best in the market, thank you for your job!

Besides i have a problem that i cannot somehow resolve to enjoy the app:

For example i create a card - one side is the name of a block of English words, and the second side is the list of the words themselves.

Then i open the card, press "show the answer", estimate how good am I with these words and choose the rate "hard" which should mean that the app will ask me to learn this card again in 10 min.

But this never happen! I have deleted and re-installed the app twice but i never received any notifications or reminders from the app which kills any sense to use it.

My device is Samsung S9+, android 10, i have created Anki account and logged in.

Will be very grateful for your help!

developer, if I can write fractions, math formulas, for example 1 part 2 that I can write by hand, either part b or x part y, that would be great. Hope the developer considers and adds more features like I said, thanks.  please please please......

Hi there - that appears to be a difference with the system image cropper. We've stopped using the system cropper and started using a specific cropping library for 2.16 but it is not released to the general public yet


It can crop arbitrary rectangles, not just squares.

If you'd like to test it, sign up to be an alpha tester and you should start seeing 2.16alpha builds (currently at 2.16alpha15), or you can download a parallel release to try it https://github.com/ankidroid/Anki-Android/releases/  / https://docs.ankidroid.org/manual.html#betaTesting

Anki Mobile is the thing to use for iPhone - it should have your cards in sync from AnkiWeb and everything

It's also possible to just use AnkiWeb directly via a mobile browser

Please note that AnkiDroid is developed by a different group than Anki Mobile, so I'm supplying the information but we're not directly related
