Hafa Adai Coaches and Clubs,

 

On behalf of MPRA, we would like to wish all the high school team good luck on your championship race tomorrow.

We would also like to extend an invitation to you, your club and your high school team to participate in the Agat Mango Festival that will be in conjunction with the MPRA Junior Challenge.

 

IIAAG has approved May 21^st as an IIAAG sanction event, high school teams can participate using your school names. (All regulations pertaining to the Kareran Galaide Handbook will used for this race)

For our local teams and clubs, this would be a great opportunity to start you 2011 Paddling Season.  

 

Agat Mango Race/Junior Challenge – Sprints

May 21^st (Saturday) Show time 7:30am Race Time: 8:00am

-          500 & 1500 meters lanes on a 250 meter course

-          Divisions:

Open Men, Women, Mix

Junior Men, Women, Mix

Magas and Haggan nene age divisions: Will confirm divisions once advised by Coach Annie/Melina and Coach Ron.

-          Location: Behind the Mayor’s Office in Agat

 

Agat Mango Race/Junior Challenge – Long Distance

May 29^th (following week Sunday) Show time 6:30am, Race time 7:00am

-          Long Distance: Agat Marine to Inn on the bay and back (approx. 6 miles)

-          Divisions:

-          Open Men, Women, Mix

-          Junior Men, Women, Mix

-          Magas and Haggan nene age divisions: Will confirm divisions once advised by Coach Annie/Melina and Coach Ron.

** NOTE: High school teams will not be allowed to participate in the long distance race**

-          Order of heats will be issued at a later date.

 

Race Fees: $75.00 per race, register for both races and pay before the 13^th of May, Discount to $50.00 per race.

Each team will be responsible for providing life jacket and canoes for the distance race. Please let me know if you need help bringing your canoe to Agat.

 

Race flyers and information will be forth coming this weekend.
