Attendee 2010 T-shirt Contest!
Attention all artists, AnimeNEXT is having it's second T-shirt Design
Contest! This year the winning prize is Free 3 day Admission for this
year's convention!
Have you always wanted to have your design printed on a t-shirt? Well
here is your chance! In addition to the Free 3 Day Badge, the winner
will be announced our our webpage, have their design printed for
AnimeNEXT 2010, will receive a free shirt,(one the wear and one for
your portfolio or friend) and of course bragging rights!
AnimeNEXT T-shirt Design Contest Rules and Regulations:
Mascot Design Shirt: Artist can choose to base their design off our
current mascot and/or alien, However DO NOT add additional characters.
Mascot can be in a different outfit then what is pictured. (think fan
art) Keep the hair and eye color the same. See artwork here. (for now
I have posted the images on my picasa site. The website will soon have
all the downloadables you will need). Logo, Location, Dates and
Webpage will be added later by Art Director. You have the option to
add them if you wish. which can download the logo from the above link
and font we use, you can download from here for free here.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT change the shape of the logo in any form. Please no
stretching it to make it longer or taller. You can change the color,
ad textures, put borders, but do not manipulate the actually shape of
the logo.
Logo Designed Shirt (no mascots needed!!!): Graphic Designers.... this
one is for you! Designers/Artist can choose to do a design with just
the logo (download it from the above link). Please include location of
convention, dates and webpage somewhere in this design. If you choose
to do a Logo based design shirt. the Main Logo can not be changed in
shape. You can change the color to fit the design but do not change
the shape. You can manipulate the logo to fit the design as long as
the main logo is with the date and location is easily seen and stands
out.
Specs:

T-shirt color: White
Artwork Size in inches: No wider then 12 inches across and no more
then 14 inches tall ( Square : 12 x 12 or Rectangle, 12 x 14. reduced
size 50%, ie 6x6 if need be)
300 dpi or higher resolution. Vector artwork is preferred, but any
high res digital file will do. ie. JPG, PDF, TIFF, EPS
IMPORTANT: Please include a clean black and white line-art version.
(there is a reason to this maddness )
Colors: up to full color
No overly sexual poses, artwork is to be PG
No Gun(s) pointed at the viewer
No obscene gestures or words
Suggestions:
Colors: Please keep in mind that screen printing is not standard
printing. T-shirts that are over colored might not come out the way
you intended on a shirt. Though, this is a full color t-shirt, it does
not mean to use every color in the rainbow, or to over shade objects.
In the t-shirt world, try to keep the color simple.
Be creative, we want to see what you can do!
Deadline submission date: March 15th
Sending files:
All designs MUST include a clean black and white line-art version. (a
separate grayscale file)
All designs must be sent in high resolution.
Vector artwork is preferred, but any high res will do. ie. JPG, PDF,
TIFF, EPS
Files can be flattened JPGs in order to send via e-mail. However,
please keep all your layered files just in case you win. We will need
it. You can then send your larger files through yousendit.com.
Saving Files:
Please save your files in the following format:
Artwork file name: first letter initial _last name_an10-Ts1
example. James Smith is submitting a design. He will create the file
per the rules and save his file that he will e-mail as
jsmith_an10Ts1.jpg. He will also make sure to keep his NOT flattened,
layered copy artwork just in case he wins.
You may submit up three different designs. if this is the case, please
use a "2" instead of a 1
(example: jsmith_an10Ts2.jpg, and or jsmith_an10Ts3.jpg)

*all artwork submitted becomes the property of Universal Animation.
Artwork might be altered in order to include logo and to fit t-shirt
standards.
