2010 MangaNEXT Artist Alley Update!

My Fellow Artists,

As many of you know, MangaNEXT is back once again, and I have just
been given the go ahead to Head the Artist Alley department. (Which
makes me very excited!)

Right now its the very begining of the planning process, so now is the
time to make those suggestions--on the forums here:
http://animenext.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=30.

I've already read everyone's feedback from AnimeNEXT, and will be
keeping everyone's pros & cons in mind. However, MangaNEXT is a
different kind of show, the focus isn't on the entire Otaku Culture,
but the print-art of it. So I would like to see the Artist Alley
reflect that, by having more focus on Webcomic and Manga artists,
especially those who are already self-publishing. I'm not sure yet
what form that focus will take, but its something that I am going to
keep in mind during the planning process.

Also, since this is going to be a big Art con, I'd like to encourage
Artists to plan and host panels. I know scheduling panels around the
Artist Alley hours can be a *beep*, but I think a balance can be
struck. Especially with some "after hours" programming.

for MangaNEXT, since I think many of you are interested in both shows,
