Hey guys,
I've successfully been able to do the matching for the right side of the body and wanted to share a few videos on possible solutions for problems you may run into. I'm not the best at videos and they're a little rambly, but hopefully they're helpful. If something wasn't well explained please let me know and I'll do my best to clarify it.
- When you go to match (say IK to FK), it seems like no matching happens and all you see is // post attributes..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dV7kmA_ie58&feature=youtu.be- When you try to match the right ik foot control to the right fk leg controls (that have length applied to both the fk up leg and fk low leg), it doesn't match correctly and you get a message saying "Cannot set the attribute r_foot_anim.upLegLength below its minimum value of 0"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHcAdwd63GU&feature=youtu.be- When you try to match the right right knee control to the right fk leg controls, the right knee control snaps to somewhere out in space and not at the joint position
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWfCtOUmUhU&feature=youtu.beI also was able to get the matching for the right arm to work. What would happen before is that when I tried to match the right ik arm to the right fk arm, the hand would match at some weird angle and not align properly. I believe this was happening because my right arm twisty joints were twisting the opposite direction from what I was rotating the hand control in. I ended up replacing the twisty forearm solution Jason had demonstrated with a different solution for twisty forearm (and up arm), and now that my right side twisty joints were spinning the right way, my arm was able to match up. This process is a little more involved but if there's interest I can make a video on how to set that up.
