Hey peoples!

Just dropping in with a few of questions for 'Solidus' (or any other people who may know) with regards to the 'Serial Experiments Lain Bootleg' Soundtrack:

1. Is the soundtrack 1 or 2 CD's?

2. Does it contain the rest of the music from the series that isn't featured in the 'Cyberia Remix' and the 'Serial Experiments Lain Original Soundtrack?'

3. I've been told that there is a counterfeit version of this CD. I was wondering if anyone had a picture of the albums TRUE front cover?

The bootleg soundtrack was one that I have been looking at purchasing for a while but I wanted to be sure that it contained music from the series.

I like Serial Experiment Lain so I'm glad to know that there is a
bootleg out there. I'm more into getting the offical stuff. If a pic
is posted of the bootleg, I'll know what to look out for. But, is the
boot leg good quality? Or is it just another pos?

Hi,

This soundtrack is called "Serial experiments Lain Bootleg" but it's only the title. This is NOT a bootleg, it's an official release. It's the third soundtrack of the series and contains the atmospheric music that was in the anime.
I came on this group by chance as I was looking for info on the CD I have: I have a CD with white sleeve and a bit of Lain's silhouette, edited by SM Records. It doesn't look like a counterfeit and had been bought by the time the series was starting to be sold on VHS in France (no DVDs yet at that time !) This CD is volume 1, but the sleeve is different from the one I usually see on the net: usual sleeve is Lain sitting with a soda can on the right, and in my version this happens to be the illustration of a mini poster on back of the sleeve after you unfold it. From what I understood by looking all over the net, it seems like there has been a release with two different volumes (one CD each), and a version in the form of a box with two CDs...
