Anyone tried to do this?  I need some help!

I'm trying to send OSC data to Animata using Synapse and Kinect-via-synapse.  I've modified the Max patch to include sending to port 7110, but I don't get any response in Animata.

I've tested with OSCulator to check that the patch is sending to port 7110, and it is receiving fine.

I have successfully manipulated puppets in Animata using the Kinect with NIMate, but I'm looking for opensource solutions.

Any help appreciated!

Sorry if these seems like a dumb suggestion, but are you sure that your
model can move?

I've made models where I inadvertently structured things such that they
were too rigid.

Have you been able to move this puppet using OSC from another source?

Have you tried creating a super-simple test case (e.g. a single bone and
two joints) to see if the issue is with receiving OSC?

Are the joints/bones set to be OSC targets, and does your OSC match the
names of the bones and joints?

Hi James

Thanks for your reply.  Not stupid questions...
Yes, my model moves and I can move it using NIMate.
I've tested that OSC is going out on port 7110 by using OSCulator.
I've checked the names coming in to OSCulator and I've copied that format for the joints.  I've also tried every other possible format that I can see in the Max patch, e.g.
/left_hand
/lefthand
/lefthand_pos_body

I'm out of ideas!

PS, your post really help me getting started - the video tutorial skipped over this step:
"Then you click the “texturize” button to map the image to the triangles."

Usually when i have similar trouble I run some script to capture and
inspect the OSC, but you're doing that so I'm at a loss as well.
