Late Summer Potluck Picnic
Compassion for Animals is holding its first-ever potluck and picnic.
Come join us! You don't have to be vegan or vegetarian to attend!

The picnic will be at Madison Park, a 15-minute walk from the East
Falls Church Metro station.

Please bring a vegan dish to share. If it's possible to bring your own
silverware, that would help the picnic be “greener.” Compassion for
Animals will supply condiments, napkins, and relatively earth-friendly
paper plates and utensils for those who need them. We'll also be
bringing a sample of fresh-baked vegan desserts that you can buy in
Falls Church!

Beverages are BYOB, but we'll supply coolers and ice. Note: There is
no alcohol allowed on the premises.

There are two grills next to the covered picnic area, which you can
use, if you don't mind that they have probably been used many times
for meat. We will bring two grills that have only been used with vegan
ingredients. Shout-out to Eric Blank, who's letting us use the
“official” DC-area vegan grill!

There is a playground, basketball court, and large grass field
adjacent to the picnic area—so the location is quite child-friendly.

Since there is a limit of 25 persons for this facility, we ask that
you please RSVP so we can keep track of attendance. Thanks!

The park is about a 15-minute walk from the East Falls Church Metro
station. By car, it's easy to get to from either Route 7 (Broad
Street) or Lee Highway (Route 29). There is parking expressly for the
park, on the south side of the park, off Lawton Street.

Need a ride from and/or to the Metro? We can probably work that out.

attend both!
