RECAP OF 3/3/11 ARC MEETING
Hey everyone! So we had a very productive meeting, as usual! Here are
the minutes:

3/3/11 PAY-PER-VIEW "FARM TO FRIDGE"
We had a great PPV session today, 60 students watched the 4 minute
clip of "Farm to Fridge" and earned $2 and a vegan cookie. Thanks to
Jason and CeCe for their help, and as always, Compassion for Animals
for their work on this event! The best PPV yet! Next PPV: April 7th!

SOCIAL MEDIA/OUTREACH:
1. Wordpress: We will be having more activity coming from our
Wordpress blog (http://animalrightscollective.wordpress.com); make
sure to check out our events posted on there. If you're interested in
blogging, create a wordpress account and add us! You can also
subscribe to our blog to receive emails about the most recent animal
rights news.
2. Twitter: We just created our Twitter account! Follow us
@ARC_GMU
3. Facebook: Now that we regained control of our Facebook group,
we will be posting our upcoming events soon. So expect our FB to be
much more active and add us if you haven't already! Please feel free
to post anytime!

VEGETARIAN/VEGAN DINING ON-CAMPUS:
1. Letter to Dining: For those of you who don’t already know, soul
food restaurant Everlasting Life will be coming to George Mason in the
new administration building by Rappahannock! Everlasting Life owns the
infamous "Soul Veg" near GW in DC, an all vegan soul food restaurant.
This is due to the hard work put in by several organizations such as
ARC, and the Environmental Action Group (EAG.) To express our
gratitude to Dining Services, we would like to compose an appreciation
letter for Dining and send it along with signed picture of the group.
The date for the picture is still tentative (probably next meeting
though…).

POPLAR SPRINGS TOUR: APRIL 10TH
Join us and Compassion for Animals (CfA) as we visit with the charming
rescued farm animals at Poplar Springs Animal Sanctuary! Check out of
blog for pictures from our visit last year. Poolesville, MD. Tour from
12-1pm, FREE. http://www.animalsanctuary.org/

RINGLING CIRCUS PROTESTS @ GMU: APRIL 14-24TH
The Ringling Bros. Circus will be on campus from April 14-24. To learn
more about circus cruelty and to watch Ringling training videos, visit
our blog. See the tentative protest times below. Signs will be
provided.

NEXT ARC MEETING: MARCH 24TH
Our next meeting will be on March 24th (we've decided to start meeting
bi-monthly). We'll be gearing up for the Ringling protests and also be
making ARC t-shirts, diy-style, so bring a shirt!
